The Cream Cheese Library

Power Salad at the mic
Power Salad’s Chris Mezzolesta presents a weekly LIVE Internet comedy and music program, “Power Salad’s Cream Cheese Library”, every Tuesday night on Dementia Radio. Chris dives headfirst into his vast music collection, everything from 78s to MP3s, even a few MP3s of 78s no less!!!, and brings up 2 hours of wackiness and fun, basically whatever is the current fancy being tickled at the moment!
What will you hear on Power Salad’s Cream Cheese Library? Jeez, what WON’T you hear? um, Kanye, Nickelback, Britney, Rihanna, Christina, Radiohead, you get the idear……
How about Billy Murray and the American Quartet, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Worm Quartet, Nuclear Bubble Wrap, Leona Anderson, The Barbarians, Mrs. Miller, The Monks, Barnes & Barnes, George Carlin, John Oswald’s Plunderphonics, Robert Klein, Jerseyband, Bill Cosby, The Shaggs, Albert Brooks, Raymond Scott, Frank Zappa, Brute Force, Bob Dylan, Monty Python, and any number of other comedy, mainstream, and WAAAAAY out of the mainstream artists! It’s eclectic, electric, and pastrami!
“What does a comedy musician know about Webcasting anyway?!?!” Chris has been talking into microphones for many a year, including a stint as a jazz DJ on his college FM station, and also a late-night experimental program, part of which included a weekly airing of “The Dr. Demento Show”, now Chris carries on that tradition of free-form fun with Power Salad’s Cream Cheese Library. The show is streamed live via a SHOUTcast plugin direct from Chris’s laptop. Nifty!!!!!
“How the heck do I get in on this?!?!” Well jeez, that’s the great part, it’s nice n simple to listen to the Cream Cheese Library! Just paste one of these addresses into your MP3 player (Winamp, Windows Media, Sonique, etc.)!

“When is the show?” We get started every Tuesday at 9pm Eastern time, right after The Travcast on Blindwulf’s Rubber Room Association, and right before Blak’s Wacky World with DJ Blaksmith. You can get more information about all of the programming on Dementia Radio at http://www.dementiaradio.org.
“Can I interact with you during your show?” Hrm, is that legal????? Of course you can! During the show I am in the IRC EFnet chat channel “#dementia” which is the official chat channel of DementiaRadio.org. If you don’t have an IRC chat program, just head over to http://www.dementiaradio.org/irc.html and a Java applet will open up and deposit you in the middle of the conversation -say hi and have some fun!!
“Do you play any questionable material?” It’s ALL questionable!!!!
Seriously, we do have a certain amount of freedom to play what we want but we don’t abuse that freedom. Will you hear the F word? Most likely now and again. Is the show made up of F words? F*** no! I’m just as apt to play a track from a kiddie album from the 50s as I am a track from Frank Zappa or Ben Folds, it’s the quality (or lack thereof!) and humor of the music that is paramount. It’s all mixed up and often obscure, but all in fun. Sort of the difference between Bill Cosby and Chris Rock. However we do provide a warning at the beginning of each program.
We look forward to having you join us each and every Tuesday on Dementia Radio for Power Salad’s Cream Cheese Library!
